The deep accident research in which we are involved shows thata large proportion of accidents have unnecessarily tragic consequences.
People are not using safety equipment, which they have available, or they use them wrong (e.g. seat belts, child seat, reflective elements, bicycle helmet).
They do not realize, which physical forces and laws apply in the event of an accident (big difference in braking distance at a relatively small speed difference, rear passenger without seat belt kills the people in the front, the impact even at a relatively low speed has the ability to kill, the airbag kills the unstrapped or the one who has legs on the dashboard, etc..)
The deep accident research in which we are involved shows that a large proportion of accidents have unnecessarily tragic consequences. We then use our research experience in the creation of preventive projects and materials in order to offer the general public such information that convinces road users of the meaning of safe behavior.
The highlight of development activities is the cooperation in the ŠKODA AUTO project of Traffic Safety Research, which is not only a source of valuable knowledge, but also an environment for the creation of unique materials. The example is series of preventive crash tests, which shows the real consequences of a car crash for the crew and comparing the situation when everything is in order and when the safety principles are not observed. Our team offers expert support in the field of traffic safety for media, government institutions, education, companies, etc. We professionally cooperated for example on Safe Friday ŠKODA AUTO campaign, we provided interviews for the media and we spoke at professional conferences
