Tracks and equipment
1. Hills (Inclined Roadways)
The pavements offer a unique combination of gradient angles from 5% to 65%. In 15% of the climb, it is possible to use a sliding surface in the form of polished basalt with water.

2. Speed Oval (available 2024)
The speed oval has 3 lanes and sloped turns with 8% sloped. The outer lane is equipped with a 4m safety zone. Thanks to the connection of the oval with the dynamic resp. slippery surface, it is possible to drive at higher speeds on these surfaces.

3. Dynamic surface
The area offers 200 m x 77 m of asphalt surface and is connected to the ADAS track and speed oval. The interconnectivity of multiple test tracks allows flexibility in performing different manoeuvres.

4. ADAS Track
415 m long and 16 m wide straight section with the possibility of installing different types of lines to create lanes. A 50 m x 60 m area adjacent to the straight section for various Euro NCAP crash scenarios. AUREL offers complete services for ADAS and autonomous vehicles throughout the entire development cycle, from the concept phase to final validation.

5. Slippery Surface
The surface made of polished basalt, sprinkled with water, represents the latest standard among surfaces with a low coefficient of friction. The ample length (76 m) with robust safety zones and the possibility of high-speed ramping provides the perfect opportunity to test braking and stabilisation systems. The surface is smoothly accessible from the speed oval and dynamic area.

6. Misuse obstacles
The misuse area is used to test vehicles beyond their operational limits. The complex set of obstacles offers variations of curbs, railroad crossings, jumps, potholes and other test objects.

7. Water channel
The water channel offers tests up to a depth of 55 cm. The location of the channel ensures the possibility of entering at higher speeds. Bottom filling with large-capacity pumps allows rapid depth changes with a calm level.

8. Special surfaces
We currently have two types of special surfaces installed – namely Belgian paving and washboard road. Both of these tracks are 70 metres long. The direct approach from the speed oval or ADAS runway allows passage at high speeds.

9. E-mobility
AUREL Proving ground is ready for new challenges in connection with electromobility. We currently have 2 high-capacity 150 kW stations and 8 22 kW chargers.

10. Climate chambers
The airlock is located in close proximity to the ADAS runway, allowing immediate access to the test areas. In our climate chamber, the vehicle can be frozen to -35 °C. In the future, it is planned to increase the capacities of the climate chambers.

Proving ground offers well-equipped offices and work areas suitable for conferences, teambuilding events and workshops for up to 60 people. We will be happy to provide excellent refreshments for your work.
Fully equipped 1,300 m² workshop including staff and technicians
Take advantage of professional technical facilities with a variety of measuring technology and equipment. Qualified drivers, high-speed cameras, pedal or steering wheel control robots and sophisticated evaluation of your data are at your disposal.

AUREL Proving ground
AUREL Proving ground is located in the middle of forests near the nearby town of Doksy. Covering 120,000 m², it offers a unique combination of test areas and facilities for the development of advanced automotive technologies. The site is guarded and the entry of all persons is subject to security processes that make the Proving ground TISAX certified.

Who can test with you?
Anyone who obtains a licence as part of our DSC (Driving Safety Course) training. Depending on your driving skills, you will receive a licence level L2 or L3. This determines which test tracks or obstacles you can use. AUREL is always able to provide professional test drivers for your most demanding tests.
